The Rebirth Web: An Emerging Series of Maternal Transformations
This emerging and ongoing project aims to explore the multifaceted journey of motherhood and parenthood. Imagery of birth, breast/chest/bottle feeding, and postpartum moments (up to the first three years,) captures the raw beauty and complexity of the maternal experience. This painting series works to be deeply rooted in themes of reproductive justice, highlighting the importance of equitable access to maternal healthcare and the interconnectedness between the treatment of birthing people and the health of the planet.
The Rebirth Web series seeks to raise awareness about the layered connections between maternal health, environmental sustainability, and social justice. By highlighting the parallels between the way we treat birthing people and the way we treat the Earth, the series advocates for greater compassion, equity, and care for all beings.
